Oil colour has been around for 600 years but can still be daunting. Luckily, Winsor & Newton have also been at it for a long time! In this demonstration, the demo artist will help take the mystery out of oil painting and the products used to create it. All 119 of the Artists’ Oil Colours have the highest level of pigmentation consistent with the broadest handling properties, which gives artists excellent covering power and tinting strength. Artists in attendance will learn rules such as fat over lean that will help them create paintings of long-lasting permanence and fundamentals of colour mixing, pigments, proper varnishing, and an introduction to Liquin mediums.
