[NOTE: We will be using oil paints for this class, but this class is for anyone who mixes color! Oils won’t dry on us during the course. You do NOT have to be an oil painter to get the full benefit of the class.]You can create nearly any color you need in your paintings by mixing just three colors!

Week 1: Basics and Exploration

Experience the joy of color exploration with a set of 37mL tubes of oil paint, a color wheel and a small painting surface provided from your materials fee. Delve into your artistic journey with Prussian Blue, Cadmium Yellow Hue, and Bright Red, plus a black and a white. Keep the supplies when class is over!
We’ll loan you a palette knife for mixing and a brush for painting. You may also bring your own if you have a preferred brush. Something small, perhaps a #4 flat or bright, will do. We will not be doing any precision painting.
