“Austin Walkin’ Cane arrives bearing not only a cool blues calling card but a commanding voice and fiery Delta chops.” •The New Yorker
With a voice like gravel dipped in honey, Austin has toured the world, sharing stages with icons like Buddy Guy and Robert Lockwood Jr. But it’s his solo shows, where the intimacy of his performance pulls the audience into the heart of the blues, that truly showcase his artistry. Austin Walkin’ Cane is more than a musician; he’s a bluesman in the truest sense of the word with a sound and style that are all his own.
Award winning guitarist Sean Carney is Ohio’s only International Blues Challenge first place winner.
He and his band will focus on their original material and salute Carney’s mentors such as Christine Kittrell and Joe Weaver. Sean and his bands have won numerous awards throughout the world, and his reputation as a talent, a respecter of tradition and a humble and gracious person has become deservedly widespread.
