Guest speaker Dr. Joe Stahlman talks about "Reclaiming the Feast: Why the Real History of Thanksgiving Matters for a Divided World"
What happens to Thanksgiving when we look past the textbook myth? This presentation explores the history of the 1621 Plymouth Plantation harvest, the holiday's true rebirth during the Civil War, and where we are today. By replacing folklore with historical accuracy and Indigenous philosophy, we can transform Thanksgiving from a romanticized fable into a vital framework for unity and gratitude in today’s world.
