Ohana Paddle Club Open House + Paddle + Luau!
Come hang out with the Ohana Paddle Club for a super fun Open House event plus a Luau!
Beginners are welcome!
We are stand up paddlers who have a passion for the activity and love to share it. Many of us are instructors who are certified by the ACA (American Canoe Association) We are always learning and improving.
We also have lots of activities and members with different abilities and interests. We do everything from fun paddles, training for races, camping trips, more adventurous paddles and downwinding.
Whether you’re a pro or just curious, it’s a perfect chance to meet new friends and enjoy some awesome paddling together. Bring your good vibes and get ready for fun on the water, learning and laughs. See you there for some in-person paddling fun!
We will have time for some learning and will then paddle around Ballena Bay Island.
Two level 2 rated instructors will be your guides!
Have an inflatable? Bring it! Arrive at 9 am to get ready!
Need a board? Please reserve one with SeaTrek Alameda https://www.seatrek.com/rentals-alameda/
They are offering a flat rate rental fee of $35 for this event.
Arrive at 9:30 am to get your board and get ready!
Remember, the Coast Guard requires you to have a floatation device and so do we! If you are renting from SeaTrek, they provide those and offer wetsuits as well.

After our paddle, we will join Sea Trek Alameda in the courtyard for a Luau with live music from ‘AHAmele! There will be snacks and beverages, and likely a dance lesson as well!
