About this Event
The Oh My Ears (OME) New Music Festival is an annual event where we invite unique and adventurous ensembles, solo artists, and projects to perform works by modern composers. The OME Festival has historically featured its performers in an eclectic variety of venues, from traditional concert halls to art galleries, bars, and cafes.
The 2026 Oh My Ears New Music Festival Concert 3 features the Desert Echoes Flute Project Chamber Ensemble, Dalton H. Regnier (bass clarinet), and Kyle Blake Jones (alto saxophone).
Desert Echoes Flute Project Chamber Ensemble
Featured members of the renowned Desert Echoes Flute Project present a contemporary thought-provoking program playing the smallest flute to one of the largest, the 9-foot contrabass. The outstanding flutists are solo artists and orchestral musicians who enjoy playing chamber music together and exploring the many facets of repertoire for this versatile instrument. They have appeared across the US at the San Francisco International Flute Festival, National Flute Association conventions, the International Low Flute Festival, and the world famous Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, AZ.
Dalton H. Regnier
Described as “captivating” and “expertly blended” (Brutal New Music Reviews), the music of Dalton H. Regnier (aka Dalton Ringey) explores themes of consumerism, environmentalism, nature, and the human psyche. He has been commissioned by various musicians and ensembles, such as the University of Delaware Wind Ensemble, Hope College Wind Ensemble, trombonist Nathaniel Lease, and clarinetist Julia Lougheed. He has also collaborated with several other chamber and large ensembles, including Sputter Box, Quince Ensemble, icarus Quartet, loadbang, and University of Delaware Symphony Orchestra.
Kyle Blake Jones
Saxophonist, Dr. Kyle Jones (he/him) is a performer, teacher, and arts administrator. An advocate for new music, Kyle has commissioned and premiered works by composers including Anthony R. Green, Gabriela Ortiz, Spencer Arias, Evan Williams, Tyson Gholston Davis, and Peter Dayton. He has premiered these works at events nationwide such as the North American Saxophone Alliance Conference, the Navy Band International Saxophone Symposium, the D.C. New Music Festival, the International Clarinet Association ClarinetFest®, and other concert venues.
Tickets are $20 per person. Doors open at 6pm. Concert begins at 6:30pm.
