About this Event

OH-COP1 is a major islands-wide climate conference taking place on Tuesday 24th September in An Lanntair, Stornoway. The event is organised by Climate Hebrides (incorporating the Our Climate Story project) and the Outer Hebrides Climate Hub. It will be the largest climate event ever held in the Outer Hebrides,  and will be livestreamed across all the islands.

This annual event aims to secure commitments to climate action that will be followed up at the following year's conference, ensuring promises are held and action is taken. OH-COP1 will explore the unique climate experiences and challenges faced by island communities, and focus on three key questions relating to climate change in the islands:

  1. What has been done?
  1. What is currently being done?
  1. What could be done in the future?

The event will include several presentations and talks from key organisations and individuals, a Q&A panel discussion, and a networking session.

Please register for the livestream here. You will be emailed a link to join the online session after registering.
