Official Response to Recommendations
About this Event
Akron's first Civic Assembly, run by the community through Unify Akron, brought together 65 residents chosen by lottery to mirror the communities demographics. Over 10 weeks, they tackled one of our city's hardest problems: housing. Since then, Delegates and city leaders have kept working in partnership on the Assembly's nine recommendations.
On Thursday, November 12, join Delegates, Mayor Malik, City leaders, and Unify Akron's new Managing Director, Dr. Carla Chapman, at The Well CDC to see what that partnership has built so far. Doors open at 6 pm; presentation begins at 6:30 pm.
With support from the Kettering Foundation, we're studying what made that partnership possible and how it could apply in other cities and contexts.
