United in Our Roots: A Tale of Two Cities in a Cultural Art Collaboration
✨Join us in historic Little Italy at Pine Elementary for a historic civic celebration!
✨Special thanks to the City of Omaha and the Office of Mayor John Ewing, Jr. for their official endorsement and support.
✨Key Event Highlights:
• Honoring Our Youth Ambassadors: Presentation of official certificate of appreciation to Pine Elementary student art ambassadors (K–5) and Pine Elementary School, honoring their international art exchange with students from Istituto Carlo V and Istituto Luigi Pirandello in Carlentini, Sicily.
• Keynote & Ribbon Cutting: Omaha Mayor John Ewing, Jr. will deliver the keynote address, present student honors, and lead the formal ribbon-cutting to officially unveil the permanent multi-panel monument structure.
• Attaining an Art District: Marking a foundational civic milestone in the drive led by Omaha’s Little Italy Artist Guild to formally designate an official Art District in historic Little Italy.
• The Multi-Year Vision: Celebrating the local culmination of Phase One—a year-long initiative that concludes this Fall (Sept–Nov) in Carlentini with matching school murals, a dedicated library installation, and a municipal ribbon-cutting with the Mayor of Carlentini introducing Phases 2–6 (2027–2029).
