Vick Lavender is the founder of Sophisticado Recordings Chicago and also the co-owner of Bridgeport Record Store Chicago.

As a producer and DJ, Vick has been a global music aficionado for over 30 years and continues to elevate the genre of deep and soulful house music by creating unique landscapes and rhythms representing world music, jazz fusion, R&B, and various other musical styles. His mastery of these unique sounds gives his music the ability to call to ancestral spirit and permeate the soul of its listener.

Creating his very first release on Defender Records, "Medone's Thought," would be the beginning of a sound that would grow and morph into what Vick is known for today.

Cee White aka Cee Blanco has been behind the decks for over 40 years and draws from his experiences of playing disco, jazz-funk, Afrobeat, and soulful house music.

Around age 12, Cee followed in his father's footsteps and began DJing. As teenage years approached, Cee and his friends would rent out spaces to host their own events and dance parties for their community. "This was in the 80s, so house music was just being launched outside of chicago-we were contributing to something we didn't know would have this type of magnitude in change to the world" - Cee.

Outside of DJ’ing, Cee started his own record label around 2020 called Yamsand Records to help support artists, which was a highlighted accomplishment of his career. Cee is also the co-founder of Deep Like.. with Decimus Floyd Vader, a music production, live show, and community engagement organization. While having a knack for event planning and providing for the community, Cee is also passionate about creating and releasing music on the production side of things... His sets take the listener on a journey through different aesthetics, transitioning between songs inspired by and influenced by the Chicago house music scene. His record collection represents the very essence of diverse danceable music. As a vinyl and digital DJ, he enjoys the crossover between both formats.
