So much of what we look at in art museums is monumental in scale, but what about the little things? If you shake out your pockets, you’ll find coins, keychains, phone cases, jewelry, and other personal items that speak volumes about both you and their makers. We will look at treasures from around the world, each no bigger than your hand, that reveal love, power, faith, vanity, technology, trade, fun, and delight in beauty. Think small!Off the Wall is a curated tour series that explores special topics across SAMA’s collections. Each session is developed and facilitated by passionate docents who can’t wait to share the stories behind SAMA’s most captivating artworks and hidden gems.
