Come learn a little about the history of San Antonio and some of its prominent citizens as we look at pieces in the collection with special connections to our city. An elaborate Arbol de la Vida complete with Adam, Eve, and the Archangel Michael, a statue of the goddess Sekmet carved for the funerary temple of an Egyptian pharaoh, and an artist's portrait of his mother hanging out the wash on San Antonio's West Side are just a few of the wonderfully diverse pieces at SAMA that we'll look at on this tour.
