Dear Friends,We realize that many of you may still be feeling the effects of Hurricane Ian. We hope you, your loved ones and your property have fared as well as possible during and after the storm.
Our upcoming Off the Wall event on Friday evening October 7th is being rescheduled as an Off the Wall Virtual Online Art Auction.
Since the Off the Wall event was to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week, both Sunshine from Darkness and Art Center Sarasota feel it is extremely important to do our part in helping the community recover, therefore….
A third of the proceeds from our Off the Wall Art Auction will go to the Suncoast Disaster Recovery Fund for all communities through the Community Foundation of Sarasota County(opens in new window). The Community Foundation will collect dollars to distribute to recovery efforts in Charlotte, DeSoto, Sarasota & Manatee Counties.
Our Off the Wall Online Art Auction will feature ALL artwork by local artists and will launch live to the public on Friday, November 4, 2022.
? VIP & Art Lover ticket holders: $150 & $250
1️⃣ Your name will be put into a raffle to determine the order to select your art piece.
2️⃣ You will be able to view the virtual art catalog on Wednesday, November 2nd and we will send you the link on Tuesday evening.
3️⃣ However, you will not be able to take your art “off the wall” until you receive an email alert on Thursday, November 3rd
4️⃣ You will have a specific time frame to choose your art piece with instructions on what to do once you make your selection.
5️⃣ Your piece will then have a “sold” memo placed on the online art auction site.
6️⃣ Or you may choose to have your $150 or $250 ticket refunded.
? $75 ticket holders:
1️⃣ You may choose to donate your $75, a third of which will go to the Suncoast Disaster Recovery Fund
2️⃣ Or you may choose to have your $75 refunded
? Carl Abbott Sculpture Ticket Holders:
1️⃣ You may choose to donate your $100, a third of which will go to the Suncoast Disaster Recovery Fund
2️⃣ Or you may choose to have your $100 refunded
? The Carl Abbott Sculpture with a reserve price of $1,000 will be a part of the Online Art Auction. A picture of the sculpture with Carl Abbott’s information will be posted on the online art auction site.
Since our Off the Wall Art Auction site will go live on Friday, November 4th. At 8 am we will send out an eblast ? to our mailing lists…you may wish to forward the eblast once you receive it.
