Off the Apps is a new kind of singles social designed to make meeting other single people feel a little easier, more natural and actually fun.

No speed dating. No forced matchmaking. No awkward pressure to find the one before the night is over.

Just a patio full of single people, a drink in hand and a reason to start a conversation.

Maybe you meet someone you'd like to date. Maybe you make a new friend. Maybe you meet someone who introduces you to someone else later. Or maybe you just have a really fun night with people you wouldn't have met otherwise.

The common denominator? Everyone is single.

This is a social, not a dating game.

We'll have enough structure to make meeting people easier, but plenty of room to mingle, talk and let connections happen naturally.

Come by yourself or come with a single friend. Either way, the point is to get out from behind the screen and into a room with people you might actually want to know.

Exactly what it sounds like.

We're creating a general age range, not checking birth certificates at the door. If you're a little outside the range but this feels like your crowd, you're welcome.

The whole point is to make meeting people less complicated, not more.

Space is intentionally limited so the event stays small enough for people to actually meet and talk.

Registration will also be managed with the goal of creating a relatively balanced mix of men and women. Exact ratios can't be guaranteed, but we'll do our best to create a great room.

And remember: you don't have to show up looking for a relationship. The connection might become a date, a friendship, a bigger social circle or simply a great conversation.
