Odyssey Comics Creator Open Workshop

This is a hands-on comics workshop designed for creators who want to sharpen their craft, develop their projects, and connect with other working artists and writers in Southern California.

Whether you’re developing your first comic or already have professional experience, bring what you’re working on and spend the day creating alongside other local makers.

Each session offers two ways to participate:

Follow the Workshop

Take part in our structured Level Up coursework, with instruction and exercises focused on developing the skills needed to create stronger comics and tell better stories.

Bring Your Own Project/Portfolio

Already working on something? Use the session as an open workshop. Bring your scripts, thumbnails, pages, pitches, character designs, or works-in-progress and spend dedicated time developing them in a collaborative creative environment.

Professional portfolio reviews are also available for quality one-one-one feedback.

Throughout the workshop, participants will have opportunities to receive feedback and guidance, ask questions about storytelling, art, publishing, pitching, and the comics industry, and connect with other creators working across different disciplines and experience levels. Free beverages and snacks will be provided.
