ODOT Matchmaker- District 9

The Ohio Department of Transportation will host matchmaker and project overview of:

• LAW-7-2.17 Phase 2 (PID 75923) (New Roadway, valued at $162 million, Letting date- 12/12/24).

Description: Construct one lane in each direction of the proposed Chesapeake Bypass (State Route 7) from the interchange of State Route 7 and State Route 527 eastward to a new interchange with State Route 775. Project length is 6.1 miles, has 10 bridges, a retaining wall, noise walls and approximately 5 million CY excavation.

• ROS-159-0.41 (PID 113013) Roadway Improvement- Safety, valued at $20.2 million, Letting Date- 2/13/25).

Description: Improvements to ROS 159 (Bridge Street & US 35 EB Ramp) to address crash patterns and congestion. Improvements include adding a third NB through lane, adding connecting side streets to improve signal level of service, lane reassignments, and ramp drop lane entrance at the ROS-159 SB to US 35 WB on-ramp as well as improving the US 35 EB off-ramp to realign with ROS-159 to minimize queue length. Pedestrian facilities will also be added along the corridor.

Registration begins at 2:00pm and walk-ins will be accepted.

The Matchmaker appointments will start at 2:30pm, which will allow DBE Firms to meet with Prime Contractors in one-on-one appointments in 15-minute intervals and introduce the services they can provide and discuss opportunities on how to work together to meet project goals.
