Hello, friends!
Please join us at The Swedish Club next Saturday for Odin’s Fest!
When: Saturday, October 19th 2-6 pm
(Load in for vendors & volunteers is at NOON)
Where: The Swedish Club - 1920 Dexter Ave N, Seattle 98109
Parking: The Swedish Club has over 100 parking spots spanning 3 lots. The main lot is to the right of the building and down a small ramp. This lot has the ADA parking, (and is also the closest to the doors on the lower level that vendors will be loading in and out of).
There is also a lot behind the building, and one across the street from the front of the building, on Dexter. All parking is free.
Cost: $5 (free to vendors and volunteers)
Age Limit: 21+ This is a members club and they are serving alcohol in a few places throughout the venue, so this is a 21+ event.
Dress Code:
For our Vendors/Volunteers/SCA members: Since this is ‘Odin’s Fest’ and is being held at The Swedish Club, they would like us to feature Norse and ‘Viking’ culture, arts, wares, etc. However, it’s still ok if you aren’t in Norse garb! The Club is okay with things that are pretty early period or are of a generally vague ‘ren faire’ or ‘medieval faire’ vibe.
For everyone else: this is open to the public, so there will be lots of people out of garb. Please don’t let not having a Norse outfit keep you from coming if you’d like to! The tickets are only $5, so come check it out!
The event is going to have a good selection of vendors; a handful of awesome SCAdians demonstrating their mad skills & sharing rhe awesomeness that is the SCA; a fighting demo in the Stockholm ballroom; a gaming space; a photo booth; a longship replica; a bar & buffet; and will be followed by a Viking Disco Afterparty! It’s going to be fun!
