The Dickinson College Choir and Orchestra combine with Cantate Carlisle to present Beethoven’s monumental Symphony no. 9, “Ode to Joy.” This is the college’s first time presenting this cornerstone of the Western symphonic repertoire, and we invite you to join us for this exciting concert!The program will also feature cellist Amelia Harper ‘25, winner of the annual student concerto competition, and two additional choral works: Samuel Barber’s Agnus Dei and Jonathan Dove's "Seek Him that Maketh the Seven Stars," featuring our new faculty member in organ, Hannah Koby.
This concert will be held at the beautiful First Lutheran Church of Carlisle, PA at 21 S. Bedford Street -- just a few blocks from Dickinson's campus. Admission is free.
