The Photography Club of Armed Forces Medical College, Dhaka (AFMCPC) presents Inter-Medical Photography Exhibition,
OCULUS 2.0 [Only for medical students]
Back with a Vision, Stronger Than Ever
After a memorable debut in 2020, the journey of Oculus was unexpectedly paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But some visions are too powerful to fade. Now, after five years, Oculus 2.0 returns—renewed, reimagined, and more inclusive than ever.
This year, we proudly reopen the platform to photography enthusiasts from medical colleges across Bangladesh, inviting you to share the stories your lenses have captured—raw, real, and unforgettable.
Whether you shoot with a phone or a DSLR, if your photo carries a story, Oculus 2.0 is where it belongs. Step into the frame. This is your moment.
Exhibition Date: 22 August, Friday.
Venue: Exam Hall, First Floor, Armed Forces Medical College, Dhaka Cantonment, Dhaka 1206.
Submission deadline: 21 July - 31 July

We invite you to submit your photos following the outlines given below:
Category :
1. Landscape & Nature
2. Abstract & Architecture
3. Street Photography
4. Portraits
5. Wildlife & Macro Photography
6. Lifestyle Photography
Each category is divided in two sub-categories:
*Color
*Black and white
Each person can submit at most 3 photos per category.
Rules:
1. All the submitted Photographs must be "Clicked By Self,” ANY KIND OF PLAGIARISM IS HIGHLY PROHIBITED.
2. Participants must be a current medical student of any acknowledged medical college.
3. AFMC Cadets are not allowed to directly submit photos to OCULUS 2.O, only the Photos submitted in Louder than Words season X will be automatically added to compete in OCULUS 2.0
4. Each person can submit at most 3 photos per category.
5. Excessive Manipulated (Except in Conceptual), over post processed, framed or copyright watermarked pictures are not allowed & will be disqualified. Use of ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE is completely prohibited.
6. Only minimal post processing such as color corrections, changing brightness, contrast , cropping etc are allowed.
7. Selected persons will be contacted by coordinators through sms/e-mail & list of selected photos will be published in the official facebook page of AFMCPC shortly after the deadline of submission.

8. Photos that were already shown in any previous exhibition in AFMC will not be accepted.
9. Every participant must confirm their submission on the facebook event wall.
10. Watermarks are not allowed.
11. Any photo without the confirmation on the event wall will not be accepted.*
Confirmation should contain the followings:
- Participant’s name
- Medical College
- Phase
- Number of Photos sent
- Email Address
12. Resolution:
Must be in JPEG or JPG format and must be at least 3000 pixels on the longer side.
Selection:
A renowned judge will select the best photographs among the submissions. PHOTOGRAPHS SUBMITTED FOR LOUDER THAN WORDS SEASON X (Intra AFMC Photography exhibition) WILL COMPETE WITH THE SUBMITTED PHOTOGRAPHS OF OCULUS 2.0. The list of the selected photographs will be declared soon after the submission closes.
Registration:
Selected photographers will be able to register to join the "2nd National Medi Carnival, Cultural, Art & Photography Exhibition" or Oculus 2.0 on 22 August, Friday in AFMC. Registration fee for the first photograph selected is 500 BDT only, and for the next ones, 300 BDT per photograph. Failure to register will cause disqualification from the competition and exhibition.

Awards:
There will be a champion, first runner’s up and second runner’s up for every category.

There will also be arrangements of Breakfast, lunch and snacks for the registered participants.

Winner in each category: Tk 5000 only
1st Runners up in each category: Tk 3000 only
2nd Runners up in each category: Tk 2000 only
