Welcome to OCULI presents!

Join us at ESCAC by Brand X for our new community event OCULI presents, where collective members curate a selection of photography projections for your enjoyment.
In light of the great loss of many vital institutions, we aim to bring the photography community together for an evening of viewing photography alongside vibrant discussions. This is a great opportunity for networking with other photographers, editors, gallerists and a wider community with interest in photography.
The event kicks off at 7pm with projections starting at 7.15pm sharp.
There is an affordable onsite bar and snacks available. Oculi member Conor Ashleigh is curating the music to keep up the pace. Up to five people will be featured on the night and there will be an opportunity for questions too.
Come along and bring your friends!

Until February 7th we are also inviting you to submit your work for the opportunity to present on the night.

How to Apply
Submit a sample of 10 images and a synopsis of your series, each file must be:

• 2000 pixels wide at 72 dpi
• Sent in a folder via WeTransfer to: [email protected]
• Accompanied by a PDF document about you and your series

Submissions due by 7th of Feb and selected photographers will be announced mid February

Who is OCULI?

Oculi is an Australia-based collective of 18 photographers united by a shared commitment to the power of visual storytelling. Our members past and present offer a poetic visual narrative of our times and our region through diverse styles and perspectives. At the heart of our projects lies a central conviction: to visually respond to issues within our region and beyond, through contemporary, considered and ethical practices. Our aim is to challenge, inform and inspire.

Since its inception in 2000, Oculi has been the leading contemporary influence in Australian photographic documentary practice via the work and recognition of our members. Our work is currently represented throughout Europe and Japan by L’Agence VU in Paris (2003-now).

Oculi members participate in both the local and international photography community through exhibitions, talks, workshops, mentoring, and more.
