October Tango Classes @ Motor City Wine

Long-time Detroit tango teacher Alex is coming back after a year in Berlin! She's got lots of new ideas and will be sharing in classes all month long.

Foundations I
6:30-7:30

This is where we teach you everything you need to know to start your tango journey. It is a mix of personal, partnered, and practical skills to baptize you into the wonderful world of tango. No prerequisites. Come as you are and play fun games with new people.

Foundations II
7:30-8:30

This is where we go deeper and create combinations out of our basics. Get ready for fun input inspired from Berlin dance floors!

Milonga
8:30 until late

Join in to dance, play, chat, booze, boogie, and/or just sit and listen to the beautifully complex, always passionate tango tunes by our lovely TDJs.

*Everyone leads. Everyone follows. Everyone welcome. No partner necessary. Come as you are. Please help us to make this a radically inclusive space where everyone feels seen and welcome. Nobody turned away for lack of funds. Ask us about volunteering!

Cost:

$80 for the series (5 weeks)
$140 if two people sign up together/you sign up for two series
$20 drop-in
Take two classes back to back if you have some experience, need a refresher, or just want to deep dive!
$15 for just the milonga
