October Sewing Retreat - School of Sew

Whether you are an absolute beginner wanting to create your first item of clothing, a more experienced sewer wanting to expand your skills and knowledge or just want to come and socially sew with a group of others (maximum 6) then this retreat is for you.

Our sewing retreat is suitable for all levels of experience. There is tuition on hand for beginners and intermediate sewists who have perhaps done some small sewing projects or made simple garments in the past.

Price £320 (Friday 1pm until Sunday 4pm).

Upon arrival at School of Sew on the Friday at 1.00pm you’ll be welcomed by The School of Sew Team in their beautiful sewing studio and offered refreshments.

You’ll be shown around the sewing studio, allowing you time to familiarise yourself with the equipment and we will give you some time to browse our inhouse fabric store Mill Creations. where you can choose fabrics for the days ahead.

Patterns will then be prepared and you will beable to make a start on your Crossback Apron which would make a perfect gift.

Your 2 full days of sewing then starts at 9.30am on the Saturday

What’s included:

Your very own Tutor Alison is on hand throughout the weekend and you will have plenty of opportunities to take advantage of her amazing sewing knowledge.

Our very own Crossback Apron pattern and a choice of linen fabric this is a great quick make that will get you used to our Brother A150 classroom sewing machines.

One of our patterns from the ranges we stock either Tilly and the Buttons, Assembly Line or Sew Over It.

A delicious lunch on the Saturday from Mill Kitchen.

A decadent afternoon tea on the Sunday where you can take an opportunity to have a well-earned break, relax and a chat with your fellow scholars.
