Special for October

Did you know that bats can be insectivores or nectarivores? Did you know that monarchs travel distances of up to 3000 miles every year? Come learn their amazing stories. You can even meet some live bats -- they are so cute!

For Adults: Free Garden Tours

Our October guided tours will include a look at Gamble’s heritage garden rooms and specialty gardens including the herb, edible, native, and foliage gardens and much more. Our historic house will contain floral arrangements to celebrate the season.

For Families: Free Guided Nature Hunts

Many creatures visit Gamble Garden for food, nesting or resting. Join our Garden Guides as we explore the animals and plants that can be found throughout the garden. We’ll get our “nature eyes” working as we look for worms, insects, birds, and mammals, and discover the many different ways the garden provides habitat for animals and plants, big and small.

Meet Live Bats!

For even more fun, attend our live bat presentation. This is a ticketed event and must be registered for separately. Click here for more information.

A special thank you to NorCal Bats

NorCal Bats is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of bats throughout Northern California. They are committed to public education regarding the environmental benefits of bats, and dispelling fears and myths that lead to the death of roosts and colonies.
