OCTOBER MEMBER MEETING

We are excited to host a screening of Uncarcerated with filmmaker and activist Leigh Scott at this month’s Member Meeting. Scott’s documentary gives us a powerful look at how we fail our neighbors struggling with behavioral health, substances, and homelessness by trying to solve them with incarceration. We will also learn how we can do better for these neighbors by offering and prioritizing care over punishment.
A question and answer session with Scott will immediately follow. After that we will host a phone bank to get out the vote and urger voters to reject Amendment 3. We hope you will stick around to help us defeat this disastrous amendment!
As always, first half hour of the meeting will be solidarity and fellowship time (i.e., food, beverages, and good conversation).
NOTE: You can park in the bank parking lots after 5, so don't worry about parking.
