OCTOBER MEETUP - HORROR MAESTRO JAMES SWANTON & SPOOKY SHORTS

Join us for a spooky pre-Halloween fearsome fireside chat with York's own master of the macabre, JAMES SWANTON, along with the opportunity to screen your own HORROR SHORTS.

James is quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s go-to Boogeymen and has had a busy year, appearing on the big screen as the Jackal in THE FIRST OMEN and as The Hermit and The Magician in TAROT and Ash Man in STOPMOTION.

He also manifested as the Curse of the 9th Symphony in the final series of INSIDE NUMBER 9, played THE MUMMY opposite Kit Harington and Freddie Fox in Mark Gatiss’ LOT 249 and is soon to appear as Satan himself in Paramount’s forthcoming prequel to ROSEMARY’S BABY - ‘APARTMENT 7A’.

As usual, there’ll be time for networking with your fellow filmmakers or just chatting about your favourite horror films and movie monsters!

NOTE RE: FILM SCREENINGS: Due to time restrictions we will only have room for a handful of shorts and will choose films that best suit the time-frame. However, we will be holding an additional, dedicated ’SHOW & TELL’ evening for our December meet-up, and will be inviting submissions from all genres at a later date.

We'd ideally like to showcase SHORT FILMS from YORK and the surrounding area, but submissions are welcome from across YORKSHIRE and the NORTH. Filmmakers who submit films will be contacted by email.
