About this Event
Discover the thrill and adventure of our Live Action Role Playing event—rooted in medieval fantasy and inspired by real Renaissance history (16th Century Russia and the time period after the death of Ivan the Terrible).
This event is perfect for kids aged 11–17 who are ready for an exciting afternoon of roleplay, relic-hunting, and choices that matter as the story unfolds.
This year the Fall Festival continues the Rise of the Warlord quest. In the parallel story we borrow from the chaos of the Russian Time of Troubles: villages fall under attack by the Brotherhood of the Black Wolf, and players will face hard choices—survival or sacrifice—as they race to find relics to defeat the usurper king Ichtwezen and turn the tide.
What to expect
- Immersive storyline: continue the Rise of the Warlord quest, face the Brotherhood of the Black Wolf, and search for relics to help defeat the usurper king.
- Hands-on LARP action: team battles, mission-based scenarios, and narrative scenes.
- Fall Festival activities: pumpkin spear-throwing contest, paint jousting, carnival-style games, and prizes (candy and more!).
- Bible + reflection: short devotional centered on Isaiah 40:29 (strength for the weary) to tie courage and sacrifice to Scripture.
- Drama & creative play: acting games, short skits, and opportunities for creative writing and character work.
- Photo ops, costumes encouraged, and a fun event store where kids spend earned “coins.”
Costumes welcome! We have extra foam LARP swords at the event that can be borrowed or purchased.
Membership & preparation
Not a member? We’d love to have you try a session — non-members are welcome to attend one time for free and then can either drop in for $25 per event or join our membership.
Members receive the best value — learn more and join here: https://angelarts.biz/2025-26-explorers-larping-creativity-club/
Prices will be pro-rated so reach out to Dana if you are interested.
We also offer an online classroom to help players prepare for LARP events and extend the learning.
Event store & coins
At our events we run a small store (like Awana-style) where kids earn coins and can spend them on small prizes. It’s great for incentives, roleplay economy, and photo-friendly moments.
RSVP & logistics
Once you RSVP, Dana will email you full location details, check-in instructions, and a list of available characters to choose from. Please bring a water bottle and a snack to share if you’d like. We have a student with allergies to eggs, dairy, and peanut butter—please be mindful when bringing shared snacks.
All schooling situations welcome (homeschool, online, public, private — all are invited).
