October Hike of the Month

Sunday, October 4, 2026, 9 am - Moraine State Park, meeting at the parking lot on Rt 528 just north of the bridge that crosses Lake Arthur. The parking lot is under the Rt 528 bridge. Hike Glacier Ridge and North Country Trails. 5.5 miles, 3 hours. Highlight: lots of rocks, views of the lake in a mature deciduous forest. Directions: Take US 422 east toward the Butler exit on PA 528 north 3.1 miles to the 528 Boat Ramp on the right. Drive down to the right under the 528 bridge and meet us at the western end of the parking lot(40.952305, -80.041162). Dog-friendly; must be leashed. This is a moderate hike, but challenging at times.
