We’ll gather here to pray, buddy up, and carpool before heading out to Kings Canyon.
☀️ Starbucks opens early, grab your coffee and be ready for our group prayer and car assignments.

Viola Falls via Sunset Trail (Grant Grove Area, Kings Canyon National Park)

• Distance: ~3.8 miles roundtrip
• Elevation Gain: ~682 ft
• Level: Moderate
• Duration: 1.5–2 hours moving time

Park Entry: $35 per vehicle (covers both Sequoia & Kings Canyon for 7 days)
Entrance stations are cashless—please use card or mobile pay.

We’re looking for 3 drivers to help lead the group!

🟩 For Drivers with at least 3 paid passengers (Refundable Registration, free T-shirt, and will cover Park entrance fee)

• FMVT covers your $35 park entrance fee
• Receive a FREE FMVT T-shirt or stainless bottle
• Must have at least 3 other passengers in your vehicle

🟨 For Hikers Paying the $25 Fee

• You can join a carpool and won’t need to pay for gas or park entry
• Or drive separately (responsible for your own $35 park fee)
• If you feel led, you may give an optional donation for gas in a car pool —never required 🙏🏽

6:30 AM – Check-in, prayer, restroom/coffee, car assignments
7:00 AM – Depart for Grant Grove (75–90 min drive)
8:30–8:45 AM – Trailhead stretch & safety briefing
9:00–11:00 AM – Hike to Viola Falls & back (photo + snack break)
11:00–11:30 AM – Return to cars; optional stop at Grant Grove Village
1:00 PM – Back in Fresno (depending on stops)

• Hiking shoes or trail runners
• Water (1–2 liters) — or your FMVT bottle!
• Light snacks (fruit, nuts, jerky, etc.)
• Hat, sunscreen, and layers or your FMVT T-Shirt
• Small daypack
• Card/mobile pay if driving separately
