October Featured Poet: Shawnte Orion

We're thrilled to be able to bring you a special reading by poet and editor Shawnte Orion this October. This one's been in the works for a while. Welcome back to Cookeville, Shawnte! We're excited for you to read at Plenty Downtown Bookshop.

Shawnte Orion attended Paradise Valley Community College for one day. He is the author of Gravity & Spectacle (a collaboration with photographer Jia Oak Baker from Tolsun Books), The Existentialist Cookbook (NYQBooks) and Faithful as the Ground (Five Oaks Press). His poems have appeared in The Threepenny Review, Barrelhouse, Gargoyle Magazine, Georgetown Review, New York Quarterly and many other journals. He is an editor for rinky dink press and he has been invited to read at bookstores, bars, universities, hair salons, museums, and laundromats.
