All are welcome! No experience is needed. Drum circles are about enjoying making music together and building community. Bring a drum or other percussion instrument. If you don't have a drum, come anyway! Extra drums will be available.
We meet monthly on the second Monday of the month, from 7-8 PM.
Here are a few guidelines to have in mind:
Listen: Pay attention to the overall rhythm and the sounds of others in the circle.
Keep it Simple: Avoid complex rhythms, especially when starting, and focus on a steady beat that others can easily join.
Volume: Play at a volume that allows the group's sound to blend and doesn't overpower others.
Take Turns: If playing solos or improvising, be mindful of others and take turns.
Jewelry: Remove rings, watches, and bracelets to protect your hands and the drum.
Enjoy: Drum circles are meant to be fun and inclusive, so relax and enjoy the experience.
