Capture breathtaking aerial views of the Queen City and connect with your local community of drone pilots and enthusiasts. This meetup is open to all ability levels, from brand-new pilots to seasoned Part 107 experts.
I am adding a new element to the meetup! Your local FAA Safety Team Representative, Jason Hedrick, will be in attendance and ready to lead a casual Safety Chat. Bring your questions on everything related to UAS operations, regulations, new tech, and best practices.
Event Requirements & Pilot Responsibility
To ensure a safe and professional environment for all participants, we require the following:
Pilot Certification: All drone operators attending must be either TRUST certified (recreational) or Part 107 certified (commercial).
Visual Line of Sight (LOS): All drones must remain within the operator's visual line of sight at all times.
Operator Responsibility: All drone operators assume full responsibility for the safe and legal operation of their aircraft.
Assumption of Risk: By attending this Drones Charlotte event, you acknowledge and assume all risks associated with participation, including travel to and from the activity and any incidental events.
