Please join us for another Sunday afternoon at Mission Dolores Park on October 16th! We had a gathering of about 25 people (not all at the same time) at Verve Coffee Roasters (due to rain), which was especially good considering not everyone was keen on coffee or small places!The goal of The San Francisco ASL Group is to provide a space for people to get together and socialize.
We welcome first-year ASL students!
Feel free to bring a blanket to spread out on the grass! And remember to keep Dolores beautiful by taking out what you bring it and leaving the place better than you found it!
Occasionally, we might get forecast of rain. If that happens, we usually move to a coffee or restaurant with outdoor space and no waitering service (to avoid the headache of restaurant not wanting to split the check). If you think of great restaurant options, let me know and I'll consider it. Taquerias, fast food, cafeteria-style restaurants are all usually great.
P.S. We are also looking for Deaf people who are interested in hosting events. Requirements: Good communication (non-verbal; working knowledge of ASL expected), identifying venues for events, advertising, hustling and know-hows, and ability to be excellent to one another
