Preparing for your labor and birth by taking classes will build your confidence and ease your fears. This 3 week series includes:
Week 1 -October 8th
Childbirth Preparation:
- Support person's role
- Comfort measures
- Pain management
- Breathing and relaxation techniques
Week 2 - October 15th
Baby Express (Newborn Baby Care):
- Diaper changes
- Why do babies cry?
- Umbilical cord and circumcision care
- Tummy time/SIDS prevention
Week 3 - October 22nd
Breastfeeding:
- Dispel common breastfeeding myths
- Establish your milk flow
- How to know if your baby is getting enough to eat
- Feeding cues
