Come Together Quick!
Join us for a morning of exploration led by Guest Artist Andrew Codispoti. In this workshop we’ll explore techniques for ensemble building, physical theatre, nonverbal communication, and instinctive shared movement. The tools we’ll focus on have been used in “quick-raise” processes for very-fast (2-5 day) production of Shakespeare plays, specifically to quickly build the sense of ensemble that Shakespeare’s company would have had after years of working together.
theatre KAPOW hosts open trainings in acting, movement, improvisation, voice, speech, object work, suzuki, viewpoints, and more. Company members have trained with Double Edge Theatre Company, Tectonic Theater Project, La Mama Experimental Theatre Club, the Michael Chekhov Studio, Shakespeare & Company, The Atlantic Acting School and SITI Company, and draw on these techniques and methods for their work.
Training is open to everyone 16 and older, with any level of experience, or none! Participants should come comfortably dressed to move (no jeans).
