October 2024: Doula Training

Purchasing your October 2024: Doula Training Ticket will secure your seat and ensure your attendace within this course. Below you find the followup instructions.

1. Once you've purchased your ticket please allow 24-48 business hours to recieve the following information.

2. Within 24-48 business hours doula registrants will be expected to commit and communicate selected payment plan.

3. Within 24-48 business hours you doula registrants can expect to recieve the following via email:

• Course Booklist
• A link to access our October 2024 Virtual Doula Orientation. On Friday Oct. 4, 2024 at 5:00pm CST. Doula candidates will have the opportunity meet the training staff and ask any questions prior to the start of class.
• A PayPal invoice with the reaming balance due based on your chosen payment arrangement.

By purchasing a ticket on this platform you are (registering to attend) securing your seat within the October 2024: Uzazi Village Perinatal Doula Training. Ticket recipients are responsible for adhering to the agreed payment arrangement for the remaining balance, which will be invoiced through PayPal.

Uzazi Village is committed to educating and introducing to our community more African American Doulas.

Program Details

The Doula program is an 8 week course held on Saturday’s from 9 am – 5 pm at Uzazi Village. It consists of education in reproductive health, breastfeeding, sexually transmitted diseases and the definition of Doula support. Students are expected to attend all 8 sessions. There will be a graduation at the end of the 8 week course.

The Doula Course in June will be an accelerated program. Classes will be held on Saturday and Sunday for four weeks.

Doula training will be held three times a year in the following months.

♦ June – Accelerated course. Held Saturday and Sunday for four weeks

♦ October - November

Cost

The cost of the Doula Course will be $1,200. There is a non-refundable 20% payment requirement due 30 days prior to the start of class. Unless otherwise communicated with the Perinatal Doula Coordinator. Listed below are the payment plan option

Payment Plan 1

♦ Pay for the course in full 30 days prior to the start date of the class. Students will receive a 5% discount for paying in full. Total due will be $1,140.00

Payment Plan 2

♦ Pay for the course in two week installments.

♦ 20% due 30 days prior to the start date of class. Unless otherwise communicated with the Perinatal Doula Coordinator. Total due will be $240.00.
