OCT 25TH EVENT: FILM CLUB "NAKED ACTS"

WHO & WHAT: We’re excited to present Naked Acts, directed by Bridgett M. Davis. This powerful film dives into the complexities of body image, identity, and self-acceptance, following a young actress after her breast reduction surgery. Recently re-released by Black Film Archive's founder, Maya Cade, Naked Acts has been given new life for today’s audiences. After the screening, Maya Cade will join us for a discussion on the film and her work in preserving Black cinema. Join us for this unique experience, and let’s continue creating a space to celebrate Black femmes in film.

WHEN: Friday, October 25th @ 6:30pm (doors); movie starts promptly at 7pm

WHERE: In-Person at Reparations Club (3054 S. Victoria Ave.)

HOW: Purchase of ticket is required. We offer three sliding scale ticket options ($5, $10, $15) to make this as accessible as possible, so pay what you can.
