Film and Television composer Nathan Barr invites you to join him at his studio, Bandrika, for a weekend of music on the Barr-Fox Wurlitzer theater organ, this time featuring Buster Keaton's classic 1928 comedy The Cameraman. The film will be accompanied by acclaimed theater organist Clark Wilson, who will be playing at the Walt Disney Concert Hall on Halloween.

In this silent classic, photographer Buster (Buster Keaton) meets Sally (Marceline Day), who works as a secretary for the newsreel department at MGM, and falls hard. In an attempt to win her attention, Buster abandons photography to become a news cameraman. Despite Buster's early failures with a motion camera, Sally takes to him as well. However, veteran cameraman Stagg (Harold Goodwin) also fancies Sally, and Buster will need to learn how to film quickly before he loses his job.

Each performance at Bandrika will begin with a demonstration of the Wurlitzer and all of its amazing bells and whistles.  This historic instrument lived on the Newman Scoring Stage at Fox from 1928 to 1998, and can be heard on countless film scores from the 20th century, including The Sound of Music, Patton, Home Alone, and The Day the Earth Stood Still.  Since Nathan restored the instrument, it has re-entered the world of contemporary film music, heard in films and television programs such as The Grinch (2018), The House With a Clock in Its Walls (2018), The Addams Family (2019), Carnival Row (2019), and Uncle Frank (2020).

The two performances are outlined below. Seating is limited and tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.

- October 23, 2021 from 7:00 PM - 8:45 PM: Clark Wilson plays The Cameraman, preceded by an introduction and demonstration of the Wurlitzer. Runtime is 1 hour and 7 minutes.
