We invite you to join us at our meeting on Monday October 21, 2024 for fun and fellowship.
This is our regular monthly members meeting. Hope to see you there - members and guests welcome!
We will be holding this meeting in person. For those unable to join us in person, an online option via Zoom will be available as well.
Refreshments will begin at 5:30pm.
To give us a little more space to spread out, we will meet in the first room on the left after entering through the Crooked Creek Park lobby.
Masks are optional at your discretion. Please spread out and observe social distancing to the extent possible.
The meeting will begin at 6pm. The park closes at 8pm so we need to be able to finish and vacate the building in time.
We will open our regular Zoom CCAL meeting space for people to join in online at 5:45pm, if they prefer, so that they can still see the meeting (see Zoom login information below).
Our presenter for October is: Michael Story.
The Title of Michael's Presentation is:
"Improving Your Paintings By Mastering Color Schemes"
Monochromatic, Complementary and Analogous Colors
Whether you work in watercolor, acrylic, pastel, or oil, you're invited to join artist Michael Story as he discusses and demonstrates the key fundamentals for mastering color.
Michael has painted and prepared extensive color charts showing how to lighten and darken the colors on your palette, mixing greens and grays, and how and when to use white and black in your mixtures. Monochromatic, complementary, and analogous color schemes are discussed and demonstrated concluding with some of Michael's finished paintings that utilize these painting methods.
