Ocha & Origami: A Japanese Paper Art Workshop
About this Event
Hosted by Afrodesiac — a lifestyle brand rooted in global culture, curiosity, and connection.
Join us for a calm and creative evening inspired by the beauty of Japanese paper art. In this hands-on workshop, guests will learn the art of origami while sipping ocha — Japanese tea — and enjoying light snacks in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Origami is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding, transforming a simple square of paper into something meaningful, delicate, and beautiful. Through each fold, we’ll slow down, focus our hands, and explore how paper can become a symbol of patience, intention, and creativity.
In this guided class, each guest will learn three signature origami designs to take home. Whether you’re completely new to origami or simply looking for a peaceful way to spend the evening, this workshop is beginner-friendly and focused on the experience — not perfection.
Sip tea, fold paper, connect with others, and enjoy a thoughtful introduction to Japanese-inspired creativity through the Afrodesiac lens of cultural curiosity and appreciation.

A Note on Origami
Origami, meaning “folded paper,” is a Japanese art form that celebrates simplicity, precision, and transformation. What begins as a flat piece of paper becomes something sculptural and expressive through intentional folds.
