The sixth installment of OceanTalk takes place on Tuesday, August 12, at 4 p.m. in the Waikīkī Aquarium Classroom. Join marine biology student AJ Stephens and the Aquarium’s Syngnathid Aquarist Kalene Rogers for To Tame a Horse, a special presentation on Syngnathid behavior. They’ll highlight research conducted at the Aquarium and share insights from the broader scientific community.

AJ Stephens is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in marine biology at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, she has called Hawai‘i home for the past three years. After completing her undergraduate studies, AJ plans to attend medical school. She also has a love for seahorses.
Kalene Rogers is the Syngnathids Aquarist at the Waikīkī Aquarium. A Honolulu native, she joined the Aquarium team in 2018, initially working at the front desk before transitioning to the Live Exhibits department a few years later. Kalene holds a bachelor's degree in marine biology from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
