Victoria-based singer-songwriter Mikayla Menzies conjures a slow-burning tension between vulnerability and unwavering fortitude. Blending a pop/alternative atmosphere with poetic sincerity, her music drifts through swirling synths and glimmering guitar lines as she weaves together her experiences in a screaming truth.
Known for writing unapologetically about her inner world, Menzies explores themes of mental health, grief, and resilience, transforming personal experiences into songs that feel both intimate and universal. Currently based on Vancouver Island on Canada’s West Coast, she is preparing to release a new EP that continues to navigate life’s bittersweet waves while reminding listeners that even in chaos, there is still music to be found in colour.
