Join us for Ocean Week Halifax on June 10th from 9am to 5pm at Queens Marque on the Halifax boardwalk! This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. This captivating event will bring together residents, environmentalists, scientists, and artists to celebrate our deep connection to the sea and inspire collective action towards a sustainable future.
Dive into a packed schedule of fun activities and educational booths from many participating ocean partners, there's something for everyone to enjoy. One of the highlights of the event is the giant floor map of Canada that uses AR technology to showcase Canada's waterways. You can also visit Ocean School's interactive booth, where they'll be showcasing their newest collection about the problem with plastics, or check out Project SculptShore's lifesize, fillable baby right whale to encourage participation in shoreline cleanups.
Educational and outreach booths start at 10am!
Dive Against debris for certified divers starts at 10am at the staircase. Please arrive for 9:30 if you will be diving!
As Nova Scotia is known as Canada's Ocean Playground, this event is a celebration of the ocean and all it provides. Ocean Week Halifax is hosted by the Nova Scotia Underwater Council, which is a group of volunteer representatives from the Nova Scotia dive community, we are committed to preserving, supporting, and promoting dive tourism and education in the province. We strive to create an enriched, inclusive, and environmentally aware diving experience for all.
