Ocean First returns to beautiful southern California to dive in the mystical kelp beds that are unique to this part of our country. We head to Catalina Island where adventurous divers will find a fascinating array of marine life, varied topography and dive experiences for all levels! Known for it’s crystal clear waters, Catalina promises to show you something new and different from the tropical waters of the Caribbean. Bright orange garibaldi, bat rays, calico bass, giant kelp fish, moray eels, octopus and perhaps even playful sea lions will accompany you on a wild ride through the kelp forest. The well-appointed Scuba Cat dive boat will provide a comfortable ride complete with hot water showers, complimentary snacks and drinks, and 2 wide ladders for easy loading back onto the boat.
Our hotel is the Catalina Canyon Hotel nestled in the canyon above Avalon. Regular hotel shuttles are available for quick and easy rides into town.
