Radical Joy: Artist Factory Mini Summer Camp | Free | Ages 8 & Up
Limited to 12 Participants
Wednesday, July 22 | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Thursday, July 23 | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
What does joy look like when you create it?
This summer, Ogden Contemporary Arts (OCA) invites young artists to spend 2 days making, exploring, and discovering their own radical joy. Inspired by OCA's current exhibition Radical Joy — which explores joy as something we choose and build through creativity, connection, and self-expression — this free two-day camp puts participants right in the heart of the artistic process alongside the exhibition's own Teaching Artists.
Participants will work directly with artists Andrew Rice, Liz Rhodes, and Alix Twiggs Wright in hands-on workshops held throughout the day in OCA's Main Gallery and Studio 32. Drawing from each artist's unique practice — from collage and comic-book fragments to collaborative and wearable art — campers will explore materials, experiment with ideas, and tell their own stories through art.
PARTICIPANTS MUST ATTEND BOTH DAYS
Day 1:
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM — Artist Factory Workshop, Session 1
12:00 – 12:30 PM — Lunch (provided)
12:30 – 2:00 PM — Artist Factory Workshop, Session 2
2:00PM – Pick Up
Day 2:
