The Ohio Contractors Association (OCA) will be hosting the 8th Annual Military Support Event on Thursday, August 21, 2025, with live music starting at 5 p.m. This event will take place at Benny’s Pizza in Marysville, Ohio, located at 968 Columbus Avenue. With activities for all ages, including games, prizes, live music from local bands PK Acoustic and Down 12, and more, the community has an opportunity to come together to show their support for our nation’s heroes by making a real impact on their daily lives. Over $23,000 was donated last year, sparking enthusiasm and drive amongst those involved.
Each year, OCA’s Columbus Chapter matches all donations made to six local organizations. These include several local Amvets, Disabled American Veterans Chapters, VFWs, and Military and Family Readiness Support Groups across the central Ohio area. “100% went back to the Veterans in our community.” Lamented Chris Gamble, Commander of American Veterans Post 28. Gamble continued by saying “We helped someone with a furnace repair in the middle of the winter, as well as with food, and cell phone requests…”.
