Obtaining Employment While Living with a Mental Illness
Employment can be an important part of recovery for those living with a mental illness. In this 90-minute class, learn how to find employment, discuss and disclose mental illnesses in the workplace, request accommodations, and what benefits and supportive employment resources are available. This class is open to individuals living with a mental illness who are interested in gaining and keeping employment and will address common work-related questions.
This class will be broken up into 4 parts on the following dates:
April 23
May 28
June 25
July 23

If you are unable to attend, a substitute individual is welcome to attend in your place, but NAMI Minnesota must be notified in writing (e-mail is acceptable) with the name and contact information for the person who will be attending. NAMI Minnesota reserves the right to cancel any event, conference or class due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. If there is a cancellation, participants will be notified by telephone and/or email as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule.
