Come meet Field Museum Artist in Residence Peggy Macnamara as she discusses her technique to seeing - and sketching - the natural world. Visitors can try their hand at sketching "unusual" specimens from Field Museum collections while learning more about Macnamara's five tips for sketching natural specimens: squint, crawl, locate, measure, and correct. 🎨
Peggy Macnamara has been the Field Museum's Artist in Residence since 1990. She has traveled the world with Field Museum scientists to paint nature and illustrate conservation efforts. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and is an exhibiting artist. 🧑🎨
