On Friday, 25 October, at 7:00 P.M. the distinguished Polish oboe virtuosa, dr Aleksandra Panasik will perform a recital OBOElectronics under the auspices of the Mazurka Music & Art Society, Knoppers Hall, King’s University (9125 – 50th str NW) focusing on the pieces from her upcoming CD release. Together with Dr. Piotr Grella-Możejko on electronics, Panasik will perform works by Arlan Schultz (Canada), Jorge Torres Sáenz (Mexico), Piotr Grella-Możejko (Canada/Poland), Maria Lord-Kniveton (USA), Aleksandra Bilińska (Poland), & Aleksandra Panasik (Poland). There will also be an art exhibit on stage featuring recent works of Magdalena Rzeczkowska. Tickets available at the door or purchase online via Eventbrite. The following day, Saturday, 26 October, at 10:00 A.M., she will give a master class for The King’s University students (but open to any interested oboist), and then she will conclude her Canadian tour with yet another recital, this time under the auspices of The King’s University, at 7:00 P.M. Both recitals will take place at the Knoppers Hall (same admission rates apply).

Aleksandra Panasik graduated from the oboe class at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk. In 2021, under guidance of the distinguished pedagogue, Prof. Józef Raatz, she received a doctorate in music performance from the same institution. She complemented her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart, at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen, and during the Darmstädter Ferienkurse.
Aleksandra has given performances in Austria, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland appearing during the following prestigious concert cycles and festivals: the Eurorchestries, Idealistic Festival, Klangspuren Schwaz, Music at Uphagen, Neoarte Festival, New Music in the Old Town Hall, New Waves Festival, Nikodemowicz - Time and Sound, Poznan Music Spring, to mention just a few. This is Aleksandra’s first North American tour.
