Welcome to the June Edition of SpaceBiz Talk.

This month, we’re diving into the exciting world of the Low-Altitude Economy. This is all about how we use the space right above us, from the ground up to 1,000 meters, for new and innovative businesses.

Recently, many people in Hong Kong enjoyed a fantastic drone show during the Cheung Chau Bun Festival. It was a beautiful sight with 1,000 drones flying together to create amazing images in the night sky.

But drones are not just for shows. They can do so much more: They can help fight fires quickly. They can deliver medical supplies where they’re needed in a hurry, like to accident sites or remote areas. They can even carry people, offering rides through the sky to different places.

China sees this low-altitude space as an important area for business growth. The government has mentioned it in major reports and is making policies to support it. By 2026, it’s expected that this part of the economy will be worth over 1 trillion yuan.

So, stay with us as we explore how drones, planes, and balloons are changing the way we do business and move things (and people!) around. The sky’s the limit for what’s possible!
