This is a follow-up to the highly-successful event that took place on May 4th. On that beautiful spring morning nearly 60 enthusiastic volunteers turned out to lend a hand. We hope to continue the momentum as we head into the summer months. This event is being co-sponsored once again by Gateway Life Church and the Cranston Historical Cemeteries Commission. CHCC will be actively participating in this effort on June 22nd and we urge anyone who has some time available on that morning to come and lend a hand. If possible, please bring your own tools. We are especially looking for individuals with power mowers and W**d-whackers. We are also looking for folks with rakes, leaf blowers, battery powered hedge trimmers, loppers, pruning shears and yard waste bags.
As always, we recommend long sleeves, work gloves and goggles for those working with power tools. The church will be providing water for the workers. Moving forward, we would like to see individuals, groups, families or businesses to adopt a section of the cemetery to maintain on a monthly basis.
